Homebound Delivery

Homebound Delivery

If you are experiencing health, mobility, or age related issues that make getting to the library too difficult, you may apply for Homebound Delivery using the Homebound Delivery Application.

You may request that books be selected for you, or request particular books by title or author. You can also place your own holds in the catalog if you wish.

If you live at Lantern Hill, your materials will be delivered to the reception desk in the main building.

Because the Senior Bus does not stop at the NP Library, you may opt to have your items delivered to the New Providence Senior Center instead of your home.  Please notify info@newprovlibrary.org if you’d like this option.

Once your application has been submitted, if you asked for staff to select your materials, a librarian will call you to find out more about your preferences.

To request a delivery or return pick up, call (908) 665-0311 x4 or email the librarian at info@newprovlibrary.org. If you request your own materials, we’ll contact you about delivery when they arrive.

There are no overdue fines, but there are replacement fees for lost or damaged library materials.

If you would like to volunteer to deliver library materials to the homebound, please contact the library or fill out an Adult Volunteer Application at the reference desk.
