Friends of the New Providence Memorial Library

Who are the Friends?

The Friends of the New Providence Memorial Library is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to raise funds and awareness, as well as advocate, for the New Providence Memorial Library.

Friends’ fundraising supports:

the Sunday Concert Series
the Museum Pass program
movie licenses to allow the library to screen feature films
special events and programming for all ages
funding for improvements such as furniture, artwork, shelving

Accessory Sale – April 25
- Come shop for a cause—and help keep our library thriving. The Friends are having a Spring Accessory Sale – just in time for Mother’s Day! Shop gently-used or new women’s accessories— including jewelry, scarves, handbags, and more.
- 10am-11am Early Bird Entry $10
- 11am-3pm General Entry – Free
Record Sale – May 16:
- Music lovers rejoice! The Friends are planning a record sale where collectors and afficionados can hunt for gems on vinyl.
- 10am-11am Early Bird Entry $15
- 11am-3pm General Entry $5

Art Gallery

The Friends of the Library curate the art exhibits in the library’s quiet reading room and Conti meeting room. To inquire about exhibiting your art or craft work, please fill out the online application form.

To become a Friend of the New Providence Memorial Library, make a contribution in one of two ways:

Donate to Friends of NPML via PayPal! You don’t need a PayPal account to give.
Print the donation page, then mail it and a check to: Friends of the New Providence Memorial Library, 377 Elkwood Ave., New Providence, NJ 07974. Or hand the envelope to staff at the library’s front desk.
